Carroll University, in conjunction with the Aviation Science and Drone Technologies program, can provide specialized services using drones, sensor technology and data visualization software using our faculty, staff and students. There are near-unlimited uses of this technology, but here are a just a few examples of past projects completed with our partner companies. BUILDING ENVELOPE INSPECTIONS

The ability to visually inspect all aspects of the building envelope can play a vital role in the maintenance and upkeep of all aspects of a building. One of the most common requests received involves an inspection of a building's roofing membrane and detection of possible water infiltration.

CROP INSPECTION

Drones can monitor crops on a weekly, daily or even hourly basis. The crop inspection service provide by Carroll University provides data on crop health, weed control and crop yields for better crop management.

DIGITAL TWIN

Employing the same technologies used for building envelope inspection, we can help you create a three-dimensional, digital twin of your facilities to give you a better understanding of what services are needed on your buildings. This service is built upon technologies from ESRI’s ArcGIS and drone data capture.

WATER STUDY

The hallmark of the Carroll University Aviation Sciences and Drone Technologies program is the use of a wide variety of drones, sensor technologies, 3D printed parts, data collection, visualizations and customizations of drones to meet the many needs of our clients. If there is something that you can’t find in the marketplace as a stock solution, please provide us with a description of what you are looking for and we’ll contact you with some possible solutions.

K-12 Drone Kits & Curriculum

Not sure where to get started with a drone program of your own, no worries, we have your back. We have multiple solutions that will meet your needs to start up a program. Provide us with the information on the grade you are wanting to teach the technology to, how many students, what learning outcomes you hope to accomplish and how long are you wanting to spend on this subject. We will provide recommendations on the drones, number of drones needed, and the curriculum that meets your needs. Many of the things you are looking for are being provided in our summer camps and workshops.

PROFESSIONAL DRONE WORKSHOP

In this one-week, credentialed course, existing drone users will learn multiple sensor technology and data capture and visualization techniques that will enhance their capabilities in the use of drones.
