Residence Life and Housing Leadership Opportunities

• Many residence halls contain an organization to which all residents are invited to become active participants. The hall councils are resident-led organizations and are advised by the area director and/or community coordinator. Joining a hall council is a great way for a student to become involved and allow his/her voice and ideas to be heard.
• Some activities the hall councils have planned include Winter Olympics, Community Trick or Treat, finals week de-stressor, game night and more. With each hall's residents planning these events, the possibilities are endless.

• RHA is an inter-hall organization within the Office of Residence Life and Housing, aimed to organize and focus student leadership within the residence halls.
• RHA aims at enhancing the residential experience at Carroll by engaging students with learning and social opportunities to build lifelong skills and relationships that will forever connect them to the Carroll community.

• RAs are given resources to create and host a variety of programs to strengthen their floor communities and build strong relationships with their residents. Based on the needs and wants of each floor, the RAs plan educational and social programs to help foster continued growth outside the classroom.
• Some examples of RA programming are volunteer day, autism awareness, CarrollStock, PIO-PALOZA, Sushi Night, Wheel of Fortune, Mark up the Night, resume building, study tips, ice cream socials, etiquette dinner, microwave madness, etc. Have a program idea? Let your RA know!
